For example, at latitude 50º North, Gemini rises in the North-east and sets in the North-west; the Sun, Moon and planets will also rise/set in these directions whenever they pass through Gemini. Directions are given using the standard 16-sector division of the compass, where each sector spans 22º.5 of the horizon (Zodiac signs from ).
